Arms | Workout

Bootcamp was fun yesterday.  Ten stations, ten different exercises, 45seconds on each one, repeat three times.  When I was pregnant I couldn’t workout as much as I wanted to, more because I just didn’t feel like I had the energy rather than anything else.  Like anyone else, I have parts of my body that I’m unhappy with and parts that I love.  Well the things I normally love about my body are my arms, with wakeboarding they are always in shape and I never worry about wearing sleeveless clothing items.  But during my pregnancy I hated them, they became extremely untoned and wobbled all over the shop.  It took a fair amount of work and a some time to get them back to what is normal for me.

A few tips for toning your arms:

Push Ups | anyway you can – on your knees, use the kitchen side or bench, full press ups

Dead Lifts | you can get different kettle bells weights / a gallon of water (see top photo)

Swings | kettle bell swings

Tricep Dips | Using a bench or kitchen chair

Wakeboarding | This gets the guns engaged

Surfing | Just paddling around is a workout in itself

Keep your eyes peeled for more work out tips!

I had a fun ride over at Club Wake Park this past weekend.   Toby and the crew have been super busy over the winter doing up the place and its looking sweet.  Theres a new shop (where you can pick up some fresh new Hyperlite boards), the changing rooms have been pimped AND if the previous comments haven’t grabbed your attention, they even have a new cable.  Its a new Wake Station (straight line cable) that rides really well, def get over there and test it out when you can.  As you know I love experiencing new places and ways to ride and I shall be hitting CWP again this summer for sure!

The set up is really fun and built for riders.  You have a flat box, a long flat bar, a roof top, two mini kickers and two normal kickers.  There is also a quarter pipe thats sometimes thrown into the mix.  So if you’re an intermediate or seasoned pro there is plenty for you to sink your teeth into.  If you’ve never stepped foot on a wakeboard before, the Wake Station is a perfect way to learn, one on one tuition and the cable goes at your speed.  All info can be found on their website – http://clubwakepark.co.uk

Ladies Morning | Fest Wake

photo 3 - Version 2photo 5This Saturday I held my first Ladies Morning of the season!  We had thirteen girls in total of all abilities.  Some on kneeboards, some learning to wakeboard for the first time and others wanting to brush up their rail riding.  Because it was the first ever Ladies Morning held at Fest Wake it was great to see so many ladies make the effort.  The morning was followed with a Nalu Beads workshop, just for a bit of extra girly fun!  Big thanks to Fest Wake for hosting, to WaterSports World and especially to all the awesome ladies who got involved!! xx

Unfortunately after lunch the wind picked up so much that the Big Air event had to be postponed – the Mystic Bigger Air will be held at Fest Wake on the 21st June!
