Lex Balladon is a wakeboarder from England who has spent the past 21yrs riding cable parks around the world; she has also been ranked in the top six female wake boarders in the UK for the duration of her competitive career, and finally took the Masters National Champion title in 2017.
Lex’s passion is coaching Ladies Mornings and Girls Days around the country and has been doing so for the best part of two decades. She is constantly striving to spread the word of wakeboarding to as many girls and women as possible. This has led to Wake Daze being born, days filled with wakeboarding, yoga and loads of fun!
If you want to get into wakeboarding then Lex is your women! She’s a BWSW Level 3 Wakeboard Coach who coaches privately and has also worked with the BWSW, coaching the GB Squad when they used to run their Development Camp scheme. She has also taken two GB Athletes to No. 1 World Rankings.
Lex is a mother of two extremely adventurous boys who keep her on her toes, but that doesn’t stop her from getting on the water for some playtime, and now she takes her children with her who also love getting on their boards. She will also find time to shoot and film with her sponsors and always endeavours to get the shot!
Something that Lex works extremely hard on is her fitness. After having two children, she doesn’t take her body for granted and is very much into health and fitness. “I feel that heathly living goes hand in hand with what I do. I have to be fit to run around after my kids and also to wakeboard! When it comes to diet, I aim to eat things that nourish my body rather than slow it down.”
If you didn’t know Lex, now you do. She is an all round shredder on and off the water. If you can’t find her at a lake, she’ll most likely be off somewhere looking for waves to surf, or some wild water to dip in!
