Fun times at Ladies Morning!

Firstly, a massive thank you to all the girls who came to my Ladies Morning!  You all did amazingly 🙂

We had loads going on at the latest chicks session.. people learning for the first time, others perfecting old tricks, some learning new tricks, we even had Pro Rider Maxine Sapulette there to give the girls some advice!  I have to name a couple of ladies who did really well.. we had Olympic Silver Medalist Gail Emms getting up and to the first corner, also my friend Laura who had her first ride since giving birth, she was back to trying 3’s by the end of it!  Huge props go to my trainer Sharm who landed her first backroll, and also to little up and coming shredder Lottie who landed herself a blind judge!  Well done ladies, keep rockin!

At 9am, Sharm from KURUP FIT took us through a warm up to get us wake ready.  Then it was straight on the water.  The conditions were perfect, sunny and flat, just the way us ladies like it!  We had all sorts of levels which I love as everyone is always doing something different, and it also pushes people as they want to try what someone else is trying!

We had quite a few goodies to give away this session so here it goes!  The KURUP FIT prize went to Charlotte, Lucy won the WakeMK Pro Coaching prize, Sara and Liz won the goodies from Two Seasons, the Nalu Beads prize went to Jess, and Sunny won the pair of Dragons!!

Again, big thanks to all the girls who came out to play!  The next WakeMK Ladies Morning will be on the 22nd July from 9-11am.  Watch this space though as there might be one sooner at the end of June.  There will also be more photos from the session on my Lex Balladon FB page!  See you all soon x

My Jubilee Weekend..

I didn’t actually do anything to do with the Jubilee celebrations this weekend (I tried to catch it on the telly box when I could though).  I was at WakeMK on Saturday for the Syndicate Mag Hot Spot shoot, which turned out to be quite a hectic afternoon.  One of our members took a turn for the worse on the dock.  However, (massive) thanks to the WakeMK Team, the Paramedics and Doctor Jen, we are glad to hear he is doing well.  We hope to see him back up and shredding soon.

Then it was straight off to Fest Wake for two days for the Hyperlite and Mystic demo and the Mystic Big Air Comp!  It was good times hanging out and riding with the rest of the Hyperlite and Mystic Teams.  We got to do some filming with WhiteNoSurgar for Wakestock which is always fun, we had perfectly flat conditions for this as well, win!

On Monday evening the edges of the lake got pretty busy as crowds gathered to watch the Big Air comp.  The Am’s kicked off with people throwing all sorts!  The girls got to ride in this as well, Mystic Rider Laura Christian, and WhiteNoSugar’s newest Rider, Sarah Kingdom.  The girls did well and threw it down.

Then the Pro’s went out to see what they could do.  I had a great view as I was one of the judges, right in the action.  We had huge tricks coming from the boys.  Mystic’s Cain Hamilton landed a massive TS FS 900, this was rivalled by Lewis Cornwall landing a smooth HS BS 720 who came 3rd.  In 2nd place we had James Young who laid down a tasty Moby Dick.  And finally, in 1st place we had World Champion Nick Davies who stomped a TS 1080 right in front of the huge crowd, who went wild!!

Great weekend and thanks to Watersports World for making it happen 🙂
