Florida

Yes its fair to say we are loving life here in Florida.  Its hot, sunny, the waters warm (pool and ocean) and the malls are huge – yes shopping is high on the agenda – I’m six months pregnant, what else am I going to do, wakeboarding and get on the margaritas?

Yesterday we visited the Everglades to see some gators, we were pretty lucky and saw five in total in the wild.  The hover crafts were fun though, they kinda freaked me out when they skimmed sideways at high speeds though, I was waiting for an edge.

Sunshine State

We made it to the Sunshine State!  We finally got here after a couple of days travelling, including hotels, taxis, trains, a 10 hour daytime flight with a toddler and an hours drive to our final location.  But its was definitely worth it to wake up to blue skies and palm trees.  Its 28 degrees and we are happy campers indeed!

Here are some holiday snaps so far….

Pancake Day

IMG_6705

Yeeeeeeah love pancake day!!!  Because Jon hates my pancakes (they are not crepes and not american style) I had a couple of friends round for a Shrove Tuesday lunch instead! We had Nutella and banana, Nutella and strawberry and lemon and sugar – they were yummy!

I use the basic recipe that my mum taught me years ago…

one cup of flour

one cup of milk

one egg

pinch of salt
