Getting the tree this year was pretty special as I went with my husband and son for the first time.  Jon has never actually been to buy a tree… in S.Africa they just used to go and chop one down and in previous years I’ve gone with my Dad, but I’ve been ill and so I’ve only just got round to getting one.  Better late than never!  I’ve always loved dressing the tree at my folks house, they have such an eclectic mix of decorations and it just feels like Christmas.  Seeing as last year was the first year we’d had a tree, our decoration collection is not quite up to par yet, BUT I’m buying a few token ones every year.
