SURFING | STORM

In-between our competition laps last Sunday, a few of us headed out for the afternoon to surf Storm Lake… We took Lee’s new boat which is A-mazing.  With the flick of a switch it goes from being a wake boat to surf boat.  With another flick of a switch the wake changes sides to suit you whether you’re a lefty or a righty!  Such a fun way to spend a sunny afternoon.

I loved the Nationals this year.  It was a really chill event with good vibes all round.  I usually get extremely nervous before my heats, but this year I was looking forward to it as I was just happy to be riding and (I shouldn’t really say this, but) I didn’t really mind where I placed… Which is a first.  I could have ridden better as always, and practiced harder but I wasn’t upset with my performance and I came 6th overall.  Great event this year, thanks JB!

I know I haven’t blogged for about a week but I’ve been super busy with assessments, Nationals, rail comps, wake surfing, photo shoots and filming, development camps and coaching.  I’ve also got another rail comp this Saturday…  I’ll get back on here soon I promise! xx
