Sunday – BEP & WakeMK

Windy times and hangovers didn’t put us off for ladies morning down at BEP.  New tricks were tried, new slider styling was had, new timers were smiling, boards were broken and front edges were being dished out left, right and center…we were on it!  Yeeah!

This month we seemed to have the early birds and the late birds.. about half the group were there from 9am and rode til we finished, and some sleepy heads rocked up at 9:30ish and rode for an hour.  The weather didn’t help as it was grey and windy, but we had a good group of chicks as always.  Thanks for making it fun so early on a Sunday and for the cuppa with six sugars.  The girls were rocking it though as new dock starts were being perfected, the Bern box was being sessioned and the transfer box was being shown who’s boss.

It was a fun morning and I hope you can make the next one!

Later on that sunday, the rain clouds rolled in and the heavens opened.  For many this would mean vegging out on the sofa with munchies and a movie… but for me, it meant one thing: the beautiful rainbow rail down at WakeMK would be in perfect sessioning condition, and I was all over it.  Good times were had on that regular rainy Sunday afternoon.  Thank you rainbow rail, till next time. x

Team Reem

I spent my Saturday down at JB Waterski for the Hyperlite and Mystic demo day.  The sun was hot, the lake was flat and fun times were had riding with the team.  I got burnt, again, and have added impact vest tan lines on my back to my collection.

The day went well and we got loads of people stoked on the boards & bindings 🙂

I was sessioning the many sliders that JB has to offer, but the most fun was the new transfer box. Gotta love that thing.

If you didn’t make it down on Saturday there is another demo day at Princes Club on Sunday 19th June.

New Ride!

Yeeeeeah Hyperlite!  I am super stoked to say that I am now apart of the Hyperlite and Mystic Teams.  This year I get to ride the Syn setup which rocks.  Not only does it look amazing, it rides amazing as well.  Smooth on sliders and gives me loads of pop on inverts. 🙂

The Syn is a Greg Nelson design. Its got a continuous rocker which is great coz I’m a cable girl!  It also carries awesome speed into the wake and has all the pop you need.  With a variable edge design which rolls from soft between your feet to a sharp cupped rail tip and tail, this board is as quick and responsive as they come. A new feature that strays from traditional Hyperlite shapes however is the Syn’s shorter curved molded in fins which I love. Ending almost two inches from the tip and tail of the board, its just enough fin to know its there and working but nothing to delay release off the wake.

Until now, there has never been a boot in the Hyperlite line designed specifically for a female rider. The completely new Syn boot is built from the ground  up to fit and function for ladies looking to take their riding to the next level. Starting with a ladies specific last, the new Syn has reduced internal volume and a lower cuff to accurately fit a women’s foot and calf. The dual Quick Cinch lace system also allows for fine tuning of boot tension between the upper and lower zones. All of these features are wrapped up on our new Low Pro plate system which puts the rider closer to the deck of the board for maximum feel and control.

Thanks Watersports World!
